A front office window was shattered by a gang of five suspects early on Friday morning, during an attempted break-in at business premises in Kloof.
“A Blue Security armed-response officer was despatched to the property after being notified of the incident,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios.
One of the tenants of the business park had arrived at work to find the main driveway gate half open and the glass of the door of the vacant ground floor office shattered. Due to it being an empty office nothing was stolen.
“Further investigations revealed that the gang had arrived in a silver-grey sedan vehicle. The five suspects derailed the gate. After several attempts to kick the door open proved unsuccessful, they shattered the glass on the main door with an object which appeared to be a 4-pound hammer,” Mathios said.
The incident is being investigated.
